Getting changed into something nice before I leave the terminal in LAS? (For a non passing trans woman)

Post Body

I'm flying in to meet a friend I've been waiting a decade to see, and then road trip together. I'd like to get changed into something nice before I go out to be greeted by them.

A couple of additional hitches:

  1. I'm trans, and non passing, and middle-aged. I abhor the whole bathroom predator issue with every fiber of my being and I have to be aware of the optics in some people's eyes and the danger it poses to me.

  2. The dress is a bit of an eyecatcher. Blue and black brocade gothabilly dress, midnight purple hair, corset, the whole nine. I have social anxiety. So I'd like to just quietly do my thing and be in and out, as I'm already a bit nervous.

  3. The above make-up, tucking, lingerie, fancy dress, corset, perfecting my hair, psyching myself up... It's gonna be a lot of work. And while I'm pretty good at a quick change, I'm still going to need a mirror and sink and space to put on a dress. And I'd prefer not to rush.

  4. When I first get off the plane I'll bring little money on me, so I can't rent an in terminal lounge or something. Unless it's extremely cheap.

  5. I'm flying Delta, Main Cabin. I've also got an hour and a half layover in Detroit, though I do worry about time as I'm a bit scattered when I'm nervous and don't want to miss my flight. I don't know if either of those are going to make a difference. More information is good information, right?

Thanks a bunch, and if you have any other advice you want to give me, feel free!
