I will be traveling from Philadelphia, Pa. to the island of Lefkada, Greece for a week long wedding celebration from July 8, 2012 - July 16, 2012. This will be my first international trip. I have procured my passport, flight arrangements, transportation and lodging. Now looking for tips or hints from seasoned international travelers on anything from packing my bags to translation advice. Any and all information is welcome.

My flight from Philadelphia is direct to Rome, Italy where I will be waiting 2h 10m to connect to Athens, Greece. I will be staying one evening (Monday) in Athens, in order to be prompt for a 9:30a shuttle from Athens to the island of Lefkada. I will have limited free time on the island due to a full week long itinerary for the wedding. I return to Athens at the tail end of the trip for another evening (Sunday) to be prompt for my direct, return flight to Philadelphia.
