I seriously looked into this. However it is a 3 days program where they do health checks and prepare and you ONLY SPEND 2 1/2 HOURS IN FLIGHT/ORBIT.
so here is the breakdown:
- There will be 6 astronauts and two pilots on each flight
*Initially 1 flight a week and expanding to more as the company expands
The actual flight is approx 2 1/2 hours, but the total flight experience is 3 days to be spent at the Spaceport for final health checks, Preparation for the flight, the flight day and a day after flight.
Flight suit, the training at the Spaceport, the astronaut wings. Food is not included during flight however have a full service kitchen that would be able to accommodate any dietary needs is available at the Spaceport
WTF? If i'm spending that kind of money i'd like to be up there for at least a few days!
