Nine days from mid-October. Two male UK citizens, early 30s.

We're starting in Romania and planning on crossing the border at

• Day 1: Fly into Cluj - night out in Cluj (Hostel in Cluj)
• Day 2: Rent a car and go to Corvin Castle (Either return to Cluj to sleep, or some small town)
• Day 3: Rent a car and go to another castle/awesome area

Thoughts so far? We wanted to go to Bran Castle, but it seems a bit far, unless we fly into Brasov and then rent a car and travel from there, to Bran and Corvin Castles and then onto Cluj over a few days.

• Day 3 (end of): Drop the car at either Cluj or Baia Mare and bus/taxi to the border town of Sighetu Marmatiei and cross over (on foot) to Solotvyno. Then take a night train from Solotvyno to Lviv (Sleep on sleeper train)

Is the Romania/Ukraine crossing open at all hours?

• Day 4: Explore Lviv (Hostel in Lviv)
• Day 5: Explore Lviv more (ideas?) and then take a night train to Kyiv (Sleep on sleeper train)
• Day 6: Go to Priyapat on a tour (Hostel in Kyiv)

Do you need to book Priyapat tours long in advance?

• Day 7: Explore Kyiv (Hostel in Kyiv)
• Day 8: Explore Kyiv (Hostel in Kyiv)
• Day 9: Fly out of Kyiv

Do we need two full days in Kyiv? Are there any parts of the holiday you'd extend or shorten
