Hi everyone,
I have already read this (https://www.reddit.com/r/travel/comments/3nu8t1/a_guide_to_buying_travel_insurance_yes_you_should/) thread about travel insurance, but I still have a few questions.
Does it matter when I purchase insurance? Obviously before the trip but other than that?
That thread says medical coverage should be $2.5 million, or ideally unlimited, but none of the plans I am looking at cover that much. They range from $50,000 to $50,000.
How much should I expect to pay per person for a good comprehensive plan?
Finally, I will be flying to multiple cities in Europe, do I need to specify this or can it be Europe in general? I am using the website insuremytrip.com to compare.
Edit: Also (sorry) for "Cancel for any reason" it says "75% of non-refundable costs [Requires purchase within 14 days of initial trip payment and certain conditions to be met.]" I'm assuming this means I need to purchase insurance within 14 days of the first payment I make toward the trip, correct? What if we will be booking over time (Round trip flights now, flights between cities in a month, Airbnb's in two months) will everything still be covered?
