Hello world!
I've been looking on Reddit and online but feel like I still need some help on working out an itinerary for my travels to Israel and Jordan a little less than a month from now. Spontaneously decided to book a cheap flight to Tel Aviv on the 10th of November and would like to take a flight out of Amman on the 20th (to Johannesburg!).
My itinerary: Land in Tel Aviv the afternoon of 10th November and stay 2 nights, 3 nights in Jerusalem (one day-trip to Bethlehem), then take a bus (to Eilat) to cross the border into Aqaba and get to Wadi Rum to stay 2 nights, 1 night in Petra, and lastly 2 nights in Amman (one day-trip to the dead sea). Then fly out of Amman on the late afternoon of 20th November. How does this itinerary look?
Here are the other big questions I still have:
Details on how to get from the Eilat-Aqaba border to Wadi Rum as well as how/through what organization I can plan my two nights with??? Really want to do this place well!
How to get to Petra from Wadi Rum??
Any one had trouble travelling through these places with luggage? I have one roller checking bag, so nothing crazy but still unable to be accommodated on a normal city bus. Specifically wondering about how I'll store my luggage when I'm doing Wadi Rum or if there are any routes with no buses that luggage storage.
Should I spend one less night in Tel Aviv to spend somewhere else? Maybe another extra night in Jerusalem or Wadi Rum?
Any suggestions on where to stay for accommodation or anything else to book in advance is appreciated!
Some more info about me: 20-year-old Filipino-American male who's just wrapping up studying abroad in the Netherlands, going to be travelling alone on this leg of my journey (I have faith I'll meet some great people though!), interested in the must-sees and cultural/local experiences and photography spots!
Thank you in advance!
