Return trip from ZRH-YYC is ~$2000. One way from ZRH-YYC is ~$4000. What?
Post Body

Okay so in May I'm returning home to Canada. Decided to check prices on flights home at the beginning of May.

ZRH-LHR then LHR-YYC on May 1st. Same exact flight I took, same day. I paid $600CHF a year ago one way. Why is it 2500CHF now?

I decided to check with a return flight instead, leaving the same day (May 1st) and returning a week later. Each leg was what I expected, around $600-700CHF.

So what gives? Are most seats reserved for round trips? I booked the same exact flight around February of last year and it was no where as expensive.

Edit: This is with British Airways
