Planning a Western U.S. road trip, need some suggestions/advice on routes!
Post Body

Hey everyone.

I'm planning a road trip through Western U.S. from Alberta, Canada sometime in June/July/August, but most likely late May or late August. It will just be me (possibly another passenger), tools, clothes, and my bicycle.

The purpose of this trip is mainly for driving pleasure/scenic routes, as I will be taking a fun German sedan. My initial plan is to drive West to Vancouver, then south along Route 101 and eventually the Pacific Coast Highway. The route suggested by Google is basically I-15 all the way, but how is this road in terms of driving pleasure and scenery? Is there stretches of twisties and scenic mountains, or is it a fairly boring road? Ideally I would love to take different routes to/from, so I can make the most out of this trip.

In terms of sight seeing, I would obviously love to see the Grand Canyon, but any cool national parks and stuff along the way I would be willing to visit as well.

Cheers and thanks in advance :)
