Hey r/travel,

So I'm currently doing a research project in Darmstadt for the next 2.5 months and have an EURail pass I'd like to get the full value out of. I am traveling with 2 or 3 other friends and we want to see as much as various European cities have to offer.

This coming weekend we are planning on going to Brussels for the weekend, but after that we mostly have our destinations picked out, but I don't know when we should go.

Destinations desired: * Somewhere in Austria * Paris, France * Somewhere in Italy * Geneva, Switzerland (pretty set in stone, as one traveller has a friend already there) * Amsterdam, Netherlands

My question, is as far as the weekends of June 21-23, July 5-7, July 12-14, July 19-21, and July 26-28 are there any weekends where those particularly cities would be better to visit? Festivals on those weekends? A particularly good concert? Giant food marketplace? Etc.

Any help you guys can give me, or more specifics about where to go in Austria or Italy would be most appreciated.
