Hi and thanks for reading my post. I’m planning on travelling from Toronto to Paris/Normandy/France in the middle of May. I’m a big WWII buff and would love to see the beaches of Normandy, Bayeux & Caen. I also want to see all the tourist attractions of Paris: Louvre, Eiffel tower, Arc de Triomphe, catacombs, Palace of Versailles, etc. I’m tentatively looking at 8 days (Monday to Monday).
I’m looking for hotel tips and any general advice from anyone that has done a similar trip/intinerary . I’m thinking I’ll land in Paris and stay for two days, see the Louvre and catacombs, maybe the tower. Then head south to Versailles. From there head west to Normandy for two days. Spend the remaining trip in and around Pairs.
Any thoughts, advice or input for someone that has never been to France before? Anything should see? Any hotels that have a great location/price? Should I rent a car or travel via train?
Thanks everyone and looking forward to this trip. Ready to book my flight but wanted to get this sorted before hand. Appreciate any insight
