Good city recommendations in Europe for May 2024?

Im visiting Europe with my parents in May. We’re doing a 10 day cruise that starts in Rome and ends in Barcelona.

We want to stay in Barcelona for 3 nights and then go to ANOTHER city and spend 4-5 days there to relax and then come back home in Asia

My parents don’t like exploring much.

They enjoy more BIG cities with good shopping and a vibrant atmosphere. Eg: London ( we went last year so not again)

Also we want it to be very safe and accessible ( English language spoken widely)

Any recommendations?

I was thinking maybe Munich? Istanbul? Any others?

This is for 5-6 days
