USA ESTA Visa denied after mistake

Post Body

I have a rather expensive trip coming up in mid december in the US and i’m getting scared.

I’ve made a group application on the website for 4 people including myself but one was denied. I then realised that i had made mistake and put in the wrong country of birth for that person so it was obviously denied.

I thought, no biggie i’ll make a new one with the right information this time a few days later, so i did. I made an individual one because i couldn’t add to the group anymore.

Denied again.

I then made another individual application again the next day. Note here that there is a - in the name in the passport which i forgot so i thought that’s why it’s denied. Nope.

Denied again…

What the hell is going on? This person has never been to the USA before, and have no criminal convictions. Could they be looking at the original application with the wrong birth country or something? But it’s on the passport…

Should i wait a bit longer then maybe use the app? Maybe someone i can talk to about this in person or on the phone?

I’ve made an inquiry as to why it’s being denied, on the DHS website so fingers crossed…

I’m really scared that they will have to apply for a normal visa which seems complicated and time consuming because the trip is in 2.5 months.
