Full story:
This company had a good deal on a textbook I needed for class, so I ordered it (as it was at a good price). However, 3 weeks went by without so much as a shipping label being created, so I contacted the seller about it. They blamed the local postal service lost the item, and "sent" me a new one. 10 days had passed, and they still hadn't sent me any shipping confirmation. When I asked about it again, they sent me a fake tracking ID. I ordered from a different seller, patiently waiting for the original book to come so I could return it. When I initiated my return (this is through Amazon, btw) I got an email from the seller asking me to send it to a different location, and that they'd "issue my full refund and pay for the shipping I would initially cover." I didn't listen to them, returned it through Amazon, and left a bad review on the seller's page. Woke up this morning to this message
EDIT FOR CLARIFICATION: this was a private seller on Amazon
UPDATE: After receiving 3 emails TODAY about their bad review, I have responded with the following, as well as reported their business practices to Amazon.
I am truly sorry that my feedback has negatively affected your business, but I will not remove it. To do so would be untruthful and deceiving to not only your customers, potential or existing, but also to you and I for being affected parties in this transaction. I hope you do recover, but I will not remove my review, and you asking me to do so several times has promted that I took action through Amazon against these practices. Good day
I honestly went easy on them in the review, and really only highlighted the parts with the late shipping and attempt to have me send it elsewhere. I always try my best to be understanding that we're humans and we all make mistakes, but them trying to hide their mistakes instead of owning up to them really didn't sit well with me
