Hello all, Ive been listening to Metros new album and one of my favorites beats on there is "Show of Hands" with ASAP Rocky. The beat is produced by Tro n Honerable C Note. I enjoy C notes beats because his kicks hit hard and his 808 sometimes have a fuzzy distorted feel to them n they never feel thin. They always have a larger then life feel to them and they always stand out to me. I never feel like oh thats just a spinz 808 boosted. I feel like he actually designs it. Anyways, my favorite element of that particular beat is the distorted 808. I feel like it would be way more fun recreating the 808 rather trying to find it in a drum kit so what are some techniques you guys would use to create a distorted 808 that doesnt feel thin n have it maintain its harmonics.
