Surgery as a temporary resident
Post Body

Hi folks.

I was wondering if anyone here has done any kind of gender affirming surgery with MSP still as a temporary resident?

For context, I'm on a work permit and I was told by Trans Care that this wouldn't be relevant at all in getting surgery and any type of resident is entitled to be covered by MSP equally.

But I don't know, I can't help but feel skeptical about this. Also, my NP sent my top surgery referral 3-4 weeks ago and said I would get a call from Trans Care in the next couple of weeks, but I haven't heard back from them yet.

Is it too soon to hear back from them? How long does it usually take them to call after your doctor sends the referral?
