I had a really big fear of getting a job because I am trans. I was terrified that being trans I would be hated or worse. I had to make money so I decided enough is ENOUGH! I had to and wanted to face my fear and get a job. I applied to a few places and was immediately called in for an interview. Fast forward a few days after and I was hired and working. Eventually the topic or pronouns and being trans was brought up amongst coworkers and I took a chance to explain that I am trans. Little by little I've told other coworkers I've felt comfortable telling and everyone has been accepting. I'm happy that I not only took the chance but I faced a fear. I can only hope others feel the same joy and courage.
