What will it take for OHIP to cover FFS?

I don’t know of any insurance not through an employer that will cover this. For most of us, that only leaves OHIP.

I may have a career trajectory that lets me get federal coverage in the future, but ideally I wouldn’t have to bank on landing a permanent position in a field that is vulnerable to federal budget cuts and not know if I’d lose my coverage.

So, what will it take to get OHIP to cover this? The path to getting coverage for something like penile-preserving vaginoplasty seemed way easier. But AFAIK there’s no precedent for coverage for anything like FFS. A court battle? Or is even that a long shot?
