Post Body

Simple enough, I've been watching an anime recently and was curious about one of the characters named 'Yami'. He says 'Yami' whenever he says the word dark, which makes it kinda funny cuz it's like he's named all his spells himself. So does dark actually translate into yami directly or is it just a joke they made up?
