I haven't seen many projects in the last 20-30 years there other than the Flushing Line extension and Second Avenue Subway to name a few. Even the SAS has been very slow to be built and cities like London have built Crossrail and Paris has had their Grand Paris Expeess project come to fruition. As an engineer who's kinda stayed away from NYC since expansion hasn't been as rapid as it should be, but wants to work there as it'll be a new challenge in life, does anyone see a golden age happening in their transit expansion? Or atleast something that's far away from any dark age like the first 15 years of the 21st century for NYC subway expansion. It's one of the few subways with quad-tracking and express local services running, making it an interesting system. Even building anything outside Manhattan such as to LaGuardia seems cool. Where would you guys rank their expansion abilities among other current American cities (I'd put Washington, D.C up at the top imo).
