I only got into studying Greater London’s rail network around early last year, so I have no idea how set in stone some frequencies are. For example, I’ve seen the Waterloo-Barnes-Chiswick-Brentford-Hounslow train service go form 2 tph to 4-6 tph. I’m not sure how much of South Western’s change was due to reinstating service from 2019 or if they change based on ridership trends per quarter. I also noticed small changes in c2c as well. My question is what makes some rail companies decide their train frequencies? Can they fluctuate or how many are, for the most part, set in stone?
