Dubai is generally known for being a very car-centric city - however especially in the Marina region, the addition of transit has just made the area so much better. The Dubai Tramโs locale is the Marina - and this video above serves as an example of how nice the infrastructure can be, albeit still definitely car-centric in these areas, but less so now that the Tram is here.

Jumeirah and Umm Suqiem areas from the beach inland until Al Wasl Road is nice and walkable. I like that they're building a couple of new protected bike lanes too.
