Is it worth seeing my usual GP about HRT?

Post Body

Hi all I'm 24 MtF living in VIC, hoping to start HRT relatively soon.

I sent an inquiry to TG Health Clinic as I'd heard good things but there is a 10 week wait for new clients. I was hoping to get started on the process a bit sooner and I'm wondering if it's worth talking to my usual GP? I'm not really sure if it's something they know/do or if they'll just send me elsewhere to jump through all sorts of hoops first.

I'll wait the 10 weeks if that's the best option but thought I'd ask if anyone has any suggestions or if going to my usual GP is a good idea.

Thanks!
