TRANSPHOBIA ALERT:

I absolutely hate using the term Transphobic, but there is no other way I can describe what has occured yesterday at Medical One in Frankston.

My partner who is female went to see a new doctor there (Dr Mrin Nayagam), just for a letter needed.

I went along also for support and just to sit in, and the Dr. Stared at me as soon as we walked in before pointing.

"Who's this person and how are they related?" She asked.

My partner replied with my name and that I was her partner, and the Dr. asked her to spell my name before she stared at me, scowled and just proceeded to screw her face up in disgust.

This was something which hit me straight away, I know when someone's looking me up and down, staring, and judging. This woman was doing exactly that and wasn't even modest about it.

She shouldn't be working there, and there definitely should NOT be a "LGBT ARE WELCOME HERE" poster in the waiting area.

It's not the first time this has happened to me, so I know it when I see it.

I have complained to the management there but absolutely nothing will be done probably (although they claim to be investigating).

So, avoid Medical One Frankston, I guess!
