So as per the title, I am trying to find a private surgery that will do my lower surgery for me, it took a lot of soul searching and therapy to determine this is what I truly want and now that I know I'm not prepared to wait 3-5 years for the NHS. Apologies in advance for bad formatting, wrote this on my phone.

A little about me, I'm 27 years old, live in the Manchester area, discovered my gender identity at 26, been on HRT for 8 months through Gender GP.

So far each surgery I've contacted asks for referrals and does not accept referrals from genderGP. I asked genderGP about this and they basically said 🤷‍♀️ So here I am going from surgery to surgery getting the equivalent of rejection letters, it's degrading and makes me feel awful, just thinking about this stuff has a serious impact on my mental health so I am requesting your help pretty please ♥️

If anyone knows of a surgery performing GRS/SRS that will accept genderGP referrals please let me know. I'll be taking out a bank loan to cover costs so price is a factor but not a blocker.

Places I've contacted so far: Nuffield health Brighton hospital - £14k, won't accept genderGP referrals

Imperial college London - £15k, won't accept genderGP referrals

Transgender clinic London - £26k, need for referrals unclear
