Has anyone recently done a name change for universal credit? How was the process? Online I see it says “If you change your name or date of birth, we will have to verify the changes before we make further payments.” - Can I upload something online, or do I have to physically visit them and do they want to see my new provisional license or my deed poll and how long will it take them to sort out?

Is doing it online or by phone better? Either way seems best to leave it till after the bank holiday to be on the safe side.

Also has anyone had issues with been ‘late’ updating their name? My deed poll is dated last July, but I just got my new license sorted now and I wanted to make sure I had an official document before I did the name change.
