The Razors Debate

09/10: Looking for more recommendations as I tried the Gillete labs which worked great on my face, ingrown hairs and cuts everywhere else.

What do you all think of this view? Mens razors are designed for thicker / longer hair and women’s razors the opposite so they perform differently.

I have been using the Mach 3 for a couple years, started E a year ago and as of the past few months found the razor is missing more spots than it use to and is taking multiple passes on short hair.

A suggestion I’ve been given is due to the hair been shorter and softer it’s harder to pick up and I should consider a razor with more blades. Yes, I do use a decent quality shaving foam.

In aware of the double edge razor debate, and I’m not interested right now. I still find myself getting nasty cuts when I try to use it, so just not worth the hassle.

So what do you all think, should I try switching to a women’s razor OR a 5 blade razor. Or is that gimmick? If I should, any good brands?

I have previously tried Harry’s, FFS Beauty, Hydro 5 & Quattro. The latter left me re stubbly with irritated skin. Was not a close shave - think the guards which run side ways ruined it.
