For those who accessed HRT (either self med or private) or socially transitioned before been seen by the gender clinic, do you feel this had any benefit in your gender dysphoria assessment?
E.g Instead of asking redundant questions about why you wanted hrt, what you expected from it etc, did they ask about your experience taking hrt? I presume particularly in the case of those self medicating they would hopefully be hesitant to turn you away as they would be openly acknowledging yous most likely continue to self medicate without supervision which tends to paint a bad picture for them.
Another question I had, if you had minimal childhood gender dysphoria experiences or experimenting you can pinpoint, was this used against you in the report?
Similarity if you are gender non conforming or non binary and have had a limited social transition and intend to keep it fairly minimal, has the GIC used this against you in a diagnosis or when trying to access hrt?
Particularly interested in Nottingham clinic experiences.
