Hi,
Im a non binary trans fem peep and recently requested my GP change my name/title and record me as non binary.
They updated my GP record straightaway, but my NHS Online account homepage dead names me.
Ive been told if I want everything in my new name my best bet is to create a new record so my dead name isn’t stuck in any old systems / accidentally added.
In the same vein, I should change my gender marker at the same time. I Ideally want indeterminate (aware this screws up screening). I understand this most likely is going to create a new record in itself, although the GP made the request to PCSE and said if I wanted to change to F it would create a new number, but they didn’t think ‘I’ did? Nonetheless - if I don’t get a new number I risk getting dead Named and misgendered.
Im also aware it’s a complete pain changing nhs number, and can mess up prescriptions, appointments, nhs online etc.
Can anyone advise on the easiest way to go about this? I don’t want to have to go through a new NHS No if I don’t have to, but it seems I’m at a high risk of the system fucking up and dead naming me if I don’t?
