So I emailed the hospital about the fact I’ve been waiting 6 years and I’ve not heard a thing, obviously I understand with covid a lot of people has to wait I basically asked them if they had a rough estimate on how long I could be waiting or where I am on the list so they responded with:

Hi (name),

Part of the reason you have not yet been offered surgery is that we need your referral to be refreshed. We have requested this from GIC – once you have had your appointment with them and receive your refreshed referral, please send this through to us as this will help greatly.

Does the above mean that I have been waiting all this time for absolutely nothing? And I could have had it a while ago as like I say no one informed me of anything needing a refreshment. So confused 😐
