Hi all,
Heres the story.
I live my girlfriend and her sister in an apartment in boston, ma. We've been here since july of last year. I came out in sept of last year as trans. At first everything was fine, gf was fine, sister was fine, everything is cool.
In the last few months the sister as become aggresive toward me and my gf(her sister) mostly because I had to pull her off my girlfriend when she was physically choaking her (I know a lot of people over react to things on askreddit so please please understand that this comes from as rational a place as possible) Now I did physically restrain her (Held her, I'm a trained martial artist) But I did not hit her, she hit me though many times.
That was a couple months back, now she has gotten her mother who also very much dislikes me because she couldn't understand why I defended my girlfriend and didn't let them "fight it out". So now the mother has threated to get the brother to come down here an Phyiscally evict me.
Ok now the important stuff.
I am not on the lease(trust me, I know. Really, I tried.)
My Gf who sides with me, and her sister are the ones signing the lease
The mother is the co-signer. She will not, and can not stop paying for the appartment without a huge hit to her credit, and I don't think she can legally do it anyway.
My options are this:
Do the cosigners have any power over who lives here?
Does one tenant have a right to kick someone out even if the other tenant disagrees?
Does the fact that I have no where to go and they would be kicking me out on the street have any relevance?
Does the fact that I'm trans and a lot of the reason the mother and the sister want me out is because they think i"m sick and perverted, mean that i'm protected under mass law?
Please help me. I don't know what to do. My GF is willing to stand up to her family but I don't know if thats going to help or not.
Thank you All.
