So a friend of mine reupped my WoW sub for me so we could play classic together, and it's been a relatively good time leveling with them. We're going a bit slower as they have a pretty hardcore work schedule, but we recently hit 30 and it's been one of the better experiences I've had with WoW in particular.
Except for the fact apparently Blaumeux Alliance are kind of scummy. No less than three times in the last week have I seen blatant transphobic circlejerking in region chats (once in Duskwood, twice in Wetlands). Everything ranging from "76 gender" jokes to "T*******".
It's honestly taken a big shine off of classic for me. While I have my group of friends who are great in our small little guild leveling together, it takes something out of the experience knowing that a good portion of your server would rather you didn't exist.
I don't know, I guess I just needed to rant about it and I don't want to say anything on the WoW classic subreddit because I have a feeling a large part of the community may be this way as part of the nostalgia of that period of the early-mid 2000's.
