Why doesn't Transformers copy DC's animated strategy?
Post Body

I'm a bit of an apologist for the Bayverse, because I see them as a net positive for the brand (and Michael Bay is an auteur even if you don't like him - this is not a joke).

But what's great to me about Transformers as a fiction is the fact that there really isn't a mainstream Universe. This is similar to DC that started the Earth 1/Earth 2 stuff pretty early. I've written a few scripts myself, but I'd love to see a series of animated movies by Hasbro that adapt some of the more popular stories, specifically from the comic books, but I think also retreading certain cartoon universes that might not have gotten the best treatment the first time.

Transtech would also make sense in this format. It might even work well with a toy line such as Legacy, which pulls from many.

There are so many stories like the Generation 2 Universe, Transtech, Starscream's Triumph (which I wrote a script for), Last Stand of the Wreckers, Megatron Origins, War Within, etc, that could work as animated movies.
