This is an unusual request and I hope not and unwelcome one. My very dear friend passed away on June 29th. Myself and a small handful of his other closest friends are flying from California to Hawaii for his formal service.
I've been playing piano for about 25 years now. I've played for my fair share of funerals. However, I have never been able to play by ear. I cannot hear something and translate it. I suppose I can, in theory, but for me it's a very long and frustrating process because I don't have the ear for it. I've only done it once, which was about 20 years ago for my grandmother's funeral.
I am going to be playing piano for the service. There are two songs I would love to play, but they are obscure enough that neither appears to have ever been made into sheet music such that I can play them. I am simply not skilled enough to listen and make my own sheet music. I've tried very hard.
If anyone is able and willing to do so, here are the two songs and I am absolutely willing to pay ($100 ok?). I would love to play them at his service, which is Saturday (tomorrow 9/2). I realize this is short notice and I should not expect a response. But in the event someone has the ability, I figured I would throw my Hail Mary. I'm advanced and would prefer someone be able to write both hands, but I'll take any efforts.
