I went out in a new city with a few friends this weekend, and wore some clothes that were relatively androgynous (I’m not out to all of them yet and didn’t fancy any awkward conversations!). Got to the club and ended up talking to a group of people outside who very clearly perceived me as female! It’s the first time I’ve really managed to pass, especially with my voice as I’ve been practicing vocal training!
I eventually came clean and told them my AGAB but they were actually very respectful and said they would’ve had no clue! It’s nice to hear that from strangers because sometimes I can’t help but see the boy when I look in the mirror, but at least I know that a lot of that is dysphoria and not reality now :)
