By no means was it hate on the level others have experienced and I don’t want to be hyperbolic in anyway.
I own a spa that it’s very proudly queer owned. Trans flag on the door. The only spa that accepts both amab and afab clients etc., we have a large lbgtqia clientele and today we were working and heard things hitting the door. When we went to check someone had been throwing soda all over the front of our shop. Like, it wasn’t a small amount. We heard some yelling but it was not discernible since we were in the very back. Security was a bit slow to arrive but said they are treating it as a hate crime. I figured it was dumb teenagers til security and staff started putting everything together. No one we know of (as of yet) saw anything, but I’m shook. Wasn’t violence toward us but it feels like that’s the next step :/
Idk why I’m even posting this. More cathartic I guess than anything. Stay safe peeps and get your CCW if you can.
