Hey y'all! Gotta few questions, if this isn't the right place please point me in the direction I need to go and I will happily head that way.
So here's the deal. 32 year old FTM here, been living my life and doing my thing. I've been open and presenting male for the past 14 years of my life; when I first started transitioning I was, heh, I almost want to say hyper masculine - eager to prove who I was to say the least. Plus things were a little different back then too; things have changed a ton in the time since and for the better I gotta say!
Anywho, I've calmed down since then and I'm pretty comfy in my skin, not on hrt currently and really unsure if that's something I feel the need to continue doing ( plus needles are just something I can't deal with anymore). Really wish my beard would stop being so patchy and my voice was just a little deeper but hey it is what it is and genetics can be tricky sometimes. Needless to say I'm happy with my He/They pronouns.
Anyway, down to the root of why I'm posting here. I am at a point where I really really need to redo my wardrobe and I actually have the money to do it for once. However, instead of the standard jeans and shirts - I mean I need those too but - I really would like to explore a more gender neutral style. I like flowing clothing, loose and flowy. Always have and probably always will. Like I've got a pair of wrap pants that a friend gave me and holy crap do I LOVE them - comfy, flowy, and pretty neutral. But, I don't know what options are really out there that are not just boy in a dress or boy in a skirt. ( I don't mean that in a bad or negative way by the way! My dudes in skirts and dresses, you are TOTES valid and I appreciate you.) Like I love the way long skirts look and move, but I'm wondering if there is a actually more 'neutral' style to that or is it just finding the right skirt?
I hope I'm making sense, forgive, I'm a natural scatter-brain.
I think I'm mostly looking for input on what types of more gender neutral clothing styles are out there that are more flowy then a standard t-shirt and jeans.
ALSO! Trans-tape. I have questions. What is the best way to apply? I know its different from person to person, but I'm trying for general input. Also what is the best way to take it off? I love the idea of being able to use that instead of a binder, but the few times I've tried its uncomfortable by the 1st hour if I get a good hold, or it works worst then my daily. When I comes to taking it off I've used baby oil and/or olive oil ( thats what I've seen people use?) but my skin ended up tore up to all heck. Never was left bleeding or anything like that, but I always seem to slightly scabbed over for the next few days like I lifted to many skin layers. It peels. Kind of hate it. So... I'm currently sitting on two rolls of the stuff but I'm too unsure, due to prior test, to honestly really use the stuff.
Anyway! Thanks for any and all input I might get, and again if I'm in the wrong spot please point me in the right direction. - Cy
