Okay, so I am just now sort of looking into everything related to being trans. I mean, I know I am trans, and I've read a lot about being trans in articles and books, and I've discussed it with ONE other trans woman, and I don't mean to sound like I'm helpless, but where the hell do I start? What do I reference? Who do I talk to? How do I do ANY of this?
I've come out to my family, but that's mostly amounted to a shrug, followed by continuing to call me by my given name and "he" and everything. Even my mother said, "I'll start calling you by your preferred name when you look like that person."
I'm new. I'm lost in the sea of endless knowledge that is the interwebs. I would like a bit of direction that is reliable, because just going and looking feels overwhelming and like I'll be misled at any point in time.
