Trans academics: how do I refer to articles written under your deadname?
Post Body

I'm writing a paragraph in which I have to compile the work of an academic, who is trans. About half their articles are written with their name, and half come from a time written by their deadname. I need to write a sentence like:

A total of 15 articles were written by Karen Osgood, 8 of which have as their first author Karen Osgood, and 7 of which have as their first author Kurt Osgood.

But obviously that might lead to confusion.

How do I write this?

Thanks for the help.
