Hey everybody, I hope this post finds you all well.. and I hope it isn't unwelcome here since I'm struggling as to where to go / who to ask for advice. As per the title, I'm looking for advice, support, suggestions on helping discover my gender identity. Suppose you could say I'm questioning, it certainly feels like I am.
I've discussed my sexuality (and as of today, gender) during therapy and it was suggested I reach out to groups for support / advice.
Little bit about me first, I'm 26M and live in the U.K. I'm also autistic, for what that's worth. I have hobbies, friends, and volunteer at a local co-op and I love it there.
I am however struggling to understood who I really am. I turn 27 on Christmas eve, and as of late this is becoming more of a prominent thing in my mind. I'm considering going through the NHS, but I've no idea what the process is, and there are so many anxieties around it for me that I'd like to have some insight first and continuing scratching the surface a bit more first..
I've been deliberately vague here for a myriad of reasons, partially due to respect for your space and particularly due to topics that may require potential CW.
I hope this finds you well, and I hope to hear from you and about your experiences.. honestly at this point I think anything and everything may be helpful. My DMs are also open if you'd prefer that, and I am happy to share details that way too If need be.
Thank you for having me here, I greatly appreciate it ❤️
