Background: I'm 25 MtF,pre hrt, I still boymode, but only in the sense that I don't have any fem clothing. My hair is long and definitely a more fem style, but everything else about me is masc. My dog is very handsome. I get asked all the time what breed he is. I also live by a big river with boat docks.
Story: I was walking my dog and I pass by this group of people getting off a boat, about 4 or 5 cishet couples. One of them looks at me and asks, "Is that a WEINER dog?" He put a lot of emphasis on Weiner and was smiling when he said it. I just automatically said what breed he was in a deep voice cause that's my normal response, but it hit me after a couple seconds that he had probably clocked me.
Like I said, I'm still early in my transition, but the instances of transphobia I have encountered have been so weird and awkward. Why do people feel the need to bring it up in the wildest ways.
edit: changed adjective to "cishet"
