My parents seem to love me. They're helping with my move and finances.
And plan to vote for Trump.
They're the kind of people who thing wisdom comes from pastors, not thinking for yourself. Evangelical.
I'm in something of a dark place this morning, furious with them even as I have to accept their help due to health issues. They're not even trying to control me, though I'm far from completely out to them.
I see them as decieved, and my mother seems legitimately curious to know more of my perspective. I would have given so much to even get her to this point 2 years ago. But I'm so disgusted with their willingness to vote for someone who would turn over the keys to people who would round me up and shoot me if they could. They deny it, thinking they were doing their godly duty, right up until the moment I was detained, because they are so insulated from reality.
My emotions are a mess about this. Resentment, anger, confusion, betrayal, exhaustion, then rage again. Anyone have advice?
