My cat has a deadname and she’s more accepted then I am
Post Body

TW: Closeted, Dead name, trans phobic family

So my family’s cat is named cous cous see pictures attached. However, my mom refused to write it on the paper work because “that’s not a real name” so on all the paperwork it’s Noel. This was really tough when I took her to the vet and they kept saying Noel. It reminds me of living with my family (which I’m still closeted to) It just makes me so sad that we call my cat cous cous (whole story my brother heard cous cous when I said קשקוש Hebrew for scribble/nonsense) but my family still uses my dead name. I’m just sad I can’t be me and I have to keep hiding who I truly am.
