I don’t mean this as a fear-mongering post. I’m genuinely worried for what this election may bring.

If you live in the US and have not yet changed your gender marker, start that process now. If access to trans care is challenged by our government, getting your hormones will be easier if you are legally your transitioned gender. You’ll be legally a man with low T, or legally a woman with low E.

There are firms that will do trans name and gender marker changes pro-bono. See if these exist in your area. Make sure they have the change be a sealed record.

I also strongly dissuade anyone from choosing an X or otherwise non F/M marker. It will make it easier for authorities to go after you. I’m all for having X as an option, but it could have ramifications that may not be worth it.
