Hello hello!
TL;DR: Told my gf I'm trans and she was super accepting and supportive.
So for context she had seen my collection of female clothing early in our relationship, and she assumed I used to be a crossdresser and didn't make a big deal of it at all. I was super stoked by her reaction but felt like I still wasn't ready to come out to her as trans.
Lately it's been on my mind a lot, especially because I'm considering relocating to a trans friendly country (I live in the Middle East). So I finally decided to tell her. I told her about my journey of discovering my gender, showed her some pictures of me dressed en femme and basically grit my teeth for what I thought would be a conversation about "The crossdressing is one thing, but this is too much". She's straight and had made that very clear, so I was dreading her reaction.
Contrary to what I thought, she was totally fine. She said that my happiness was more important than anything else and that if this is who I am it doesn't change anything. We spoke about how it would affect things for us and our very conservative families, but she said she was more than willing to deal with anything that came our way as long as we are happy.
It was honestly such a liberating conversation and I have had the biggest smile on my face since then. We plan to get married soon and we're now looking into countries where we can both find jobs and move after the wedding (So if you have any recommendations in Europe let me know ðŸ¤)
Sorry for the long post. I'm just really happy and wanted to share! 😊😊
