I've seen a few trans women talking about taking dutasteride to manage hair thinning/get on SOMETHING to reduce testosterone before being able to get on proper HRT. I was wondering if anyone had any experience in this kind of usage, and whether you'd recommend it?
I don't have the money for private treatment (and I'm British so the NHS is a nonstarter), and even if I did starting proper HRT while I'm still living with unsupportive parents would cause problems. But I think I could get away with something that's primarily a hair loss treatment with them, and you can get it from online pharmacies fairly affordably, at least comparably to hrt appointments...
