SB 1440 is going into law in TN but there was no focus on it here, or from advocacy groups. It’s just as discriminatory and transphobic. What is the future of these types of laws?

Post Body

SB 1440 codified sex to gender assigned at birth in Tennessee. I find it embarrassing and don’t want to name change in my state and be barred from my gender marker change. This bill received far less publicity and takes control from adults, making their own decisions. Now, care bans for minor laws have been blocked in Tennessee; but that is for minors and not for adults and/or minors [citizens] who need gender marker changed here. Just curious, where do you see importance to this in the future and should I expect change?
