Possible trigger is for death of a parent and non-acceptance by a parent.
This is such a niche question, but I’m hoping if anyone has experience with this, it’s someone in this sub!
My mother and I don’t see eye to eye. We live over 1000 miles apart and I don’t receive any support from her so overall I’ve made peace with our rough relationship. She will never address me by my name.
I am one of two kids and I know I’m in the will to receive a not insignificant amount of money. Will it cause problems down the line if this money is willed to a daughter Deadname if I’ve changed my name and possibly gender marker? I would of course keep docs for any legal changes and can prove that she’s legally my mother. I just know she will never change it and as much as it bothers me to be known as my legal name, I don’t want to screw myself out of money in the future.
