Time to Rave

History

In May of 2008, r/trance was created.

4 years later, we hit five digits for the first time: 10,000 subscribers

5 years after r/trance was started, we hit 25,000

Five years ago, we hit 40,000.

And now, we've doubled that to 80,000!

Like any subreddit, we've gone through small and large changes since the start. Moderators have come and gone. We ran our own podcast, radio streams, live threads, a ton of mix contests, IRC, Discord, Spotify playlists, and a pretty consistent end-of-year voting list.

As I said at 40K, none of this would be possible without you all. The content creators. The media consumers. The voters. The viewers.

Trance will continue to shift and change, and it reaches new heights and new people because of you all.
