Wise choice to become a train driver?

Hey guys I’m currently 24 and I bartend at a hometown restaurant of mine. I was in aviation school and received a pilots license in single engines but the hour building process combined with the debt I’ll be in is starting to disinterest me.
Trains have interested me as well, what type of training or education would I need? Is it worth it? Can I live a comfortable life off of it?
