Winter running — anyone installed screws?
Post Body

I'm hoping to do some running on steeper hiking trails with snow. I have a pair of shoes with ~230 miles on them I don't feel too bad about putting screw holes in. Has anyone else done this or have good instructions on doing so?

Yak Trax, microspikes, etc are an alternative. I'm concerned they might break down over time because of running on dirt/rocks, or they may fall off or slide around during use. I'm interested in any experience y'all have had with these products, too.

Thanks!
